Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s knack for choosing locations which show grandeur as well as royalty is incomparable. Vijay Vilas Palace was one such location which looked visually stunning in this movie starring Aishwariya Rai Bacchan, Salman Khan & Ajay Devgan and was beautifully displayed exuding royalty. Some of the glimpses of palace shown in the movie attracted many tourists to discover in the royalty of Vijay Vilas Palace.
Aamir Khan’s production movie Lagaan was the third Indian film nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and was shot in an ancient village near Bhuj. Remember the twist in the movie? When Lakha and Captain Russel shake hands to foil Bhuvan’s plan of winning the game and Elizabeth sees them, this scene was again shot in Vijay Vilas Palace. Ramleela, a big hit by Sanjay Leela Bhansali was also shot on the great Rann of Kutch. You can witness some of the scenes that were shot on the majestically White Expanse in Gujarat’s western edge. The initial scenes of the film Ramleela showcased the brewing romance of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh and established the White Desert as a romantic destination perfect for that Valentine’s Day break.
